Beijing, Paris, Noordwijk, October 05, 2018 – China HEAD Aerospace Technology Co. Ltd (HEAD) attended the IAC 2018 which was held on October 01- 05 in Bremen with an exhibition booth.

HEAD had the honour to host the Global Network Forum (GNF) to discuss “Small Satellite Applications Development Leveraging Socio-Economic Benefits” on October 3, 2018.

Executive speakers included Mr Valanathan Munsami, CEO of South Africa National Space Agency (SANSA), Mr Driss El Hadani, Director General of National Centre Royal de Télédection Spatiale (CRTS/National Remote Sensing Center), Mr Jorge Del Rio Vera, Space Application Section, United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) (UNOOSA), Mrs Kammy Brun, Head of Global Business Development from China HEAD Aerospace and Mr Steve Bochinger, COO of Euroconsult as the moderator.

SANSA and CRTS highlighted the national priority in capacity building and application developments based on satellite data. Sustainable Development and professional training are core focus of UNOOSA program. The AIS/IoT constellation of HEAD and its strategic partnership in national Earth observation (EO) data commercialisation, investment in big data management and artificial intelligence are the key strategic development of HEAD.

During the IAC, HEAD signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with South Africa based company, New Space Systems (NSS), for a collaboration in HEAD’s Skywalker constellation and the commercial small satellite market. The presence of Mr Valanathan Munsami, CEO of South Africa National Space Agency (SANSA) showed the support of the agency to South Africa local industry in international development.

Mr. Jian Xu, General Manager of Head Netherlands was interviewed by the RTVO of Netherlands on the importance of collaboration between China and Europe in the space market. During the interview, HEAD emphasized its sustainable effort in developing applications based on satellites through international commercial collaboration.
